Question re annual financial reporting

In the spirit of full disclosure and in compliance with N.C.G.S. 55A-16-20, the association had historically provided a financial statement along with the annual newsletter showing Dues Income, Expenses and Year-end Cash Balance. Over time the expense categories remained fairly constant including liability insurance for officers, mowing, electricity expense for entrance sign and streetlights, postage, charitable donations and legal fees.  The April newsletter infers that this practice has been discontinued which is unfortunate given our many new neighbors.
